Disappointment. Sadness. Rage. Betrayal. All the feelings you experience when your favourite media ends with not a bang, but a “huh?”. But most importantly, you feel inspired. Inspired to write something better than this terrible ending.

This Ending Sucks So I Am Going to Write A Fanfic is a relaxing, humorous 1-4 player journaling game. In this game, you play as a fanfic writer, posting online to share your vision after being hurt by a disappointing canon ending. You’ll need a six-sided die (d6), a ten-sided die (d10), and a way to record your creation. If it is a multiplayer game, make sure you can share your writing with the other players.

Note: This game is not meant to mock fanfiction or fanfic writers. As someone who reads and writes fanfics, this game is best played with a love of fanfiction (and some knowledge of classic fanfic dramas). Please, do not play this game with the intention to make fun of fanfiction or disrespect fanfic writers who write out of love. Feel free to poke fun at terrible canon endings, though.
