You've Killed A Man
A downloadable game
You’ve killed a man. Perhaps it was out of fear, hate, thrill, or even love. No matter the reason, the police are onto you. Right now, you are sitting in a cold interrogation room with two police officers. It’s going to be fine. They haven’t found the body yet. You can get out of this, no problem. Right?
You’ve Killed A Man is a one page solo journaling game that follows the Second Guess System by William Lentz. You will need a d20, a d6, and a method to record your game.
Game 10 for Shit Or Get Off the Pot: A Solo Game Jam
This game used the quick theme generator and got the result: I think we have to kill this guy and Fear.
Check out Laboratory [Redacted], Medieval Anxiety, Reincarnated as the Unlovable Villainess?!, Memoria, TTRPG Nightmare Simulator, The Last Doctor, The Final Girl Self-Help Club, This Ending Sucks So I Am Going to Write A Fanfic, and Welcome to the Dungeon for the same Jam.

Hey there! I made a GUI for your game in Python as part of a uni class. The prof is asking if I could post it on github as project example for the course. I don't want to post it without your permission. If it's cool with you, I'll be sure to give you credit.
Oh wow this is the most interesting thing I've read! Of course you can!!
So if I end with 1 suspicion, the police will always have enough evidence to arrest me no matter what? That seems counterintuitive in that the more suspicion you have the more likely you are to go free. Or is this a game about how suspicion and evidence are not the same thing?
Hi! No, you're right. I actually have the two mixed up 😅. It should be: If the result is higher than your Suspicion, the police have nothing on you and you are free to go. If the result is lower than or equal to your Suspicion, the police have enough evidence to arrest you.
Thanks for letting me know. I'm gonna update the pdf. Though it is true that in the game, suspicious and evidence don't necessarily have to match (thinking of cases where you have 1 Suspicion and still ends up not getting away with the murder).
Oh okay thank you for the clarification!
Guess i'm going to be playing all the solo-rpgs made by Wym. In my play through I tried to go for a more campy style and had a blast. Thanks
Thanks! I hope your character had gotten away with the murder. I have some free games around so I hope you can find another one that you like!
