Case Closed - A Cold Case RPG
A downloadable game
In Case Closed: The Cold Case RPG, you play as The Detective. The Detective could be a hired private investigator, a journalist, a relative of The Victim/Suspect, or a law enforcer. No matter The Detective’s role, you are a new investigator that is trying to solve an unsolved cold case. Years have passed since the crime happened. The crime scene has long been destroyed, The Victim was buried long ago. Some of The Suspects and witnesses have already moved on or even buried under ground. All you could rely on is the case file and documents you could find. And of course, your detective skills.
Your goal is to identify The Killer, The Modus Operandi, and The Motive. Instead of solving the mystery by gathering evidence, you solve the mystery by eliminating The Suspects until there is only one left. Now, can you survive until you’ve uncovered the truth?
What you need:
- This guide: This is the essential guide to playing the game. It contains all the rules and tables you need to get started.
- 1d6 or 2d6 dice: You will need at least one six-sided dice to determine the outcome of your actions.
- Pencils, erasers and papers: You will need something to record your investigation.
- Imagination: This game is more akin to writing a murder mystery together than being an actual game of deduction. This game is going to be the most fun if you get your creative gears running.
- Friend(s) (optional): This game is designed to be played solo or in a group.

what happen if i roll equal to my investigation score? ^_^
Hi! Sorry for the really really really late reply. If your roll is equal to or below your current Investigation score, your roll is a failureI've made changes to the guide to reflect this situation. Thank you so much for pointing it out! Once again, I apologize for the late reply.
